Almost there . . .

I desperately need to get back to work. Unfortunately, I've been picking and poking through marketing and promotional stuff. I HATE it. But it's a necessary part of a writer's life. Maybe someday soon I can get all of that under control. Until then, it takes over my life when I'd rather be writing.

Finally, a break - sort of

Things are almost back to normal. I say almost because this next week will be filled with visits and fun. And work. Don't forget work. The second novel is still in edit and it's looking GOOD! I can't wait to send it out there into the world. This one's a little steamier than the first, so hang on!

When, oh when?

I have a million things I need to do and can't seem to get to any of them. On a positive note, the first three segments of my video series are filmed. Need to be edited, and I may redo the third one (I don't like it although I've been told it's fine), and then on to YouTube. Oh, my, the to-do list grows exponentially!

The Neighbors of Harper's Cove - on their way!

From where I sit, the first Harper's Cove book is done. The title of the novella is Karen and Brett at 326 Harper's Cove. They're going to be fun, nasty little reads. They're fun to write, too, and inexpensive to boot: $0.99! You'd pay a lot more than that for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, and it's not nearly as entertaining. Oh, yeah, it has the ability to sustain life, but that's about it. Anyway, I'm hoping the first one will be out in a couple of weeks. The release date for the second novel is still October 31. I'm working as hard as I can!

So when do I get to write?

I spent a good part of yesterday creating an ad for my friend Shane's website (he graciously offered to promote my books on his website - that was SOOOO nice of him!). Then I worked on the website a little. Then I spent a couple of hours sorting through the cover shots for the Harper's Cove series. Then I ate barbecue. And then I worked on the timeline. I know, procrastination, right? And I've got to get started on the third book, Renovating a Heart. I'll need an excerpt to put in the back of Tearing Down Walls, right? So much to do, and a video shoot week after next in Nashville, not to mention hosting some honeymooners. Yikes! I don't know how I'm going to get all of this done.

And I'm doing an interview for Smashwords, and I've still got to get into the backend of Substance B and work on my author page there. In the immortal words of a famous erotic romance book character, "Holy crap!"

Blech, blech, blech!

Timelines, timelines, timelines! I hate timelines. They are a necessary evil, but I can still hate 'em, can't I?

But the edit is going very well. So I'll check the timeline. If I must. But I still don't want to.

Moving right along!

The dire edit for the second book is well under way and it's looking very good. I've made some changes to the plot that will make it even more nerve-wracking and hotter - much hotter! I can't wait to see how it all shakes out. Somebody's got to die - who will it be? Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
